New Veterinary Surgeons Join the Team

Welcome to our New Academy Veterinary Surgeons

Three new graduate veterinary surgeons have joined Chapelfield Vets. You may have met some or all of them over the last month. Olivia Turley qualified from Dublin vet school; Harriet Nuttall from Cambridge vet school and last be not least Ed Pilkington also from Cambridge get school. All three are joining as mixed, academy vets and will be doing two-week rotations in our small, farm and equine departments.

Their clinical work with Chapelfield is mentored and structured within the Independent Vetcare Academy Graduate Scheme. The scheme follows a supportive framework which helps them to develop in a supportive environment. They will periodically attend IVC academy training days over their first two years and their work at Chapelfield will involve working in the reception and nursing departments to better appreciate the hard work and tricky situations that can arise for those members of staff.

We are very excited about this new scheme and believe it is the way the profession should be developing new graduates to take care of their progress during the very early stages of their career. We are sure you will join us in welcoming all three to the practice and when you meet them will offer a warm welcome.
