A brief history

A Long Stratton veterinary clinic first appeared in the 1960's. It has taken many guises and occupied several sites in Long Stratton - from a lean-to on one of the partner's house, a port-a-cabin in another's front garden, to a small premise on the main road opposite Swan Lane. The last move was in 2000 to the current facility on the entrance to the Long Stratton industrial estate.

The equine and small animal departments at the Long Stratton clinic have expanded considerably over recent years with the provision of inpatient and surgical facilities for all species. In light of continued growth we are planning considerable investment in the building of a purpose built, RCVS accredited, Tier 3 equine hospital along with further expansion and development of the small animal facilities over the next few years. It is hoped that the new equine facility will be sited close to the Long Stratton area.

The small animal vets at Long Stratton also provide routine consulting and emergency services for the clients of our Brooke surgery. Please not that it may be necessary for these clients to travel to the Long Stratton surgery out of normal hours.
